Transmission via 2 wire
INFO: Advantages of Video Transmission via 2-Wire Cable
Compared to conventional video transmission using coaxial cable, transmission via 2-wire cable offers several advantages:
Inexpensive cable material, CAT-5 network cable, or higher
Easy installation
Multiple signals, including data, can be carried in a single cable
Low cable attenuation, allowing for longer transmission distances without amplification
Less susceptible to interference due to balanced transmission
For optimal transmission, CAT-5 cables (or higher) with twisted pairs (UTP/FTP) should be used. Using higher-quality CAT cables can potentially increase the maximum transmission distance. When using screw or clamp connections, ensure that one twisted pair is used for each signal path.
Other cable types, such as telephone cables, can also be used, but this reduces the usable length. Therefore, these cables should only be used in specific cases, such as existing installations.
